Mumbai: Rajkummar Rao took to Instagram to share a new poster for fans and captioned it, “Get ready as #Bikki comes with his favourite gang and #Stree ji for the biggest horror comedy of the year. #Stree2 trailer releases tomorrow. The legend returns this Independence Day, Aug 15, 2024.”
The poster shows Bikki (Rajkumar) and his friends standing facing a woman, holding fire sticks and torches in their hands.
As soon as the poster was shared, fans flooded the comment section.
One user wrote, “Comedy and madness.”
Another user commented, “Wow #waiting.”
Interestingly, the makers will release the trailer of the film on July 18.
On Tuesday, Shraddha shared a new poster of the film on Instagram and expressed her excitement about the trailer release.
In the poster, a woman dressed in black can be seen from the back, holding her ponytail, which is making sounds like lightning striking.
She captioned the post, “She is coming in just 2 days to protect everyone from the black power! #Stree2 trailer out in 2 days! The legend is coming back this Independence Day, 15th August, 2024.”
Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, the film promises a return to a scary yet humorous world where famous women keep scaring men.
‘Stree’ released in 2018 and was declared a hit. Its sequel will hit the theatres in August this year. A phrase from the film ‘oo stree kal aana’ has been used repeatedly in memes.
The music of the film also gained a lot of attention with songs like ‘Mili Milegi’ and ‘Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe’.
