Woman 2 Producer Jyoti Deshpande calls it a simultaneous release VedaAnd In fun With his own movie “Survival of the Fittest”.
“There are only 52 weeks in a year. We don’t release films during Hindu rituals (shraadh), IPL, Ramdan and if a Khan film is releasing or a big South Indian film is releasing, we are left with only 20 weeks. There is bound to be a clash. So it is survival of the fittest, the law of the jungle,” the producer said at the trailer launch of ‘Stree 2’ in Mumbai.
Woman 2 It will be released on August 15 and will clash with Akshay Kumar starrer In fun and starring John Abraham Veda,
He said whenever two or three films are set to clash on release dates, it means ‘we are coming with a sentiment. The one who wins is the king“So, we are very confident,” he added.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Woman 2 It is the sequel to the highly acclaimed 2017 horror-comedy and the 5th part in the Maddock Supernatural Universe.
The film stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee.
