New Delhi: On Friday, the Internet flooded through a new feature of chatgipts with mems, scenes and photographs in the studio Ghibali style, which expressed resentment among a part of social media users, who insulted the crematorium -generated images of mythological Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miazi.
Openai has released its most advanced image generator through an update on the chat GPT-4o, allowing users to generate images in Miazaki’s hand-designed animation style that is shown in Oscars winning films such as “Spirit Aware” and “The Boy and the Heron”.
Other famous films in Miazaki include “Hells Moving Castle”, “My Friend Totoro”, “Kiki’s delivery service” and “The Wind Rise”.
Zelda Williams, daughter of late comedian Robin Williams, wrote on Instagram,
“People are shared with gaiety ‘studio ghibali style’ AI memes and photos, as if that man himself will not hate technical theft and negative effects on our environment.
Many people of India joined the trend by sharing posters and pictures with their films in Ghibali style, including major Bollywood studios like Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Madock Films.
Dharma Productions posted in ghat style like new posters of their films such as “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Ye Javani Hai Deewani”, “Ok Jaanu”, “Badrinath Ki Dulhania”, “Sher Shah” and “Rocky and Rani Kim Kahani”.
“Falling in love never felt this love,” he captioned images.
Madock Films also shared posters of films like “Bhedia”, “Munjya”, “Mimi”, “Stri 2”, Terry Baton Meen Iisa Ulja Zia “and” Sky Force “to AI.
“This is not just Ai. It’s adorable intelligence,” Madock wrote.
Red Chilli used a chatgate feature to come up with many Shah Rukh Khan-Starrs-“Chennai Express”, “Dunki”, “Happy New Year” and “Dear Zindagi” studio ghibi-eskay posters.
Although many people did with films and posters of iconic moments, people were liked, a large part of people and fans of Miazaki called the trend no less than literary theft.
“Since this garbage is trending, we said about the art created by the founder of Studio Ghibali,” said the art made, “A user wrote by a user sharing an old interview of Miazaki for AI generated animation.
In a small clip, Miazaki said, “I am completely hate. If you really want to make scary items, you can move forward and do it. I would never like to include this technique in my work. I firmly feel that it is an insult to life.”

Since it is fully trending garbage, we should take a look at the fact that the founder of the studio Ghibali, Hayo Miazaki, said about the art created. https://t.co/1tmpcfgije pic.twitter.com/ivam9wzl3t– nuberodesign (@nuberodesign) March 26, 2025
A social media user said that Miazaki spent his entire life to cultivate a different artistic identity, so that AI could reduce its decades of discipline and integrity.
A social media user said, “It is a shame that how easily leaves the principle to join.”
“Stop promoting AI waste, pay a real artist to create a real picture!” Written a user.
Another said, “One day this AI will take your place and everyone will make low quality material that day, which is happy to see your own collapse !!”
The quantity of “It’s it it ‘,’ it’s fun ‘,’ stop curses’, which I see in response to anti -AI feelings, is wild. I can’t stop using you stupid, water waste, S **** Y facial machines, similarly you can’t stop me from talking about whether we are ready to learn about a machine, because some people are school.
“If someone steals a design and sells it, we call it a knockoff. Yet when AI stole a person’s life work like Hiao Miyajaki, we call it the future. It’s a complete joke, and I am not laughing,” a Miyajaki fan on X wrote.
Miazaki and Studio Ghibali have not yet officially commented on the viral trend.
