Mumbai: Noted filmmaker Subhash Ghai has assured fans about his health after he was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital due to health concerns.
The 79-year-old director, who is known for his iconic Bollywood films, took to social media to update his followers that he is now in good health.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Ghai thanked his fans for their love and well wishes during this time. Ghai wrote, “I am very happy to know that many of my friends are expressing their love and affection for my health. After my busy stint at IFFI Goa, all is well now and see you soon. Smile again. Thank you.”

Earlier, a statement from Ghai’s team had confirmed that the filmmaker was “absolutely fine” and that his hospitalization was for routine check-up, with no cause for concern.
A source close to Ghai’s family further revealed that the filmmaker undergoes annual checkups to monitor his health due to his busy schedule. “There is nothing to worry about. We do this every year because it is important to do all the tests. And because of his busy schedule, we get him admitted to the hospital so that the doctors can do all the tests properly,” the source told ANI. He is absolutely fine.”
