Talking about the popularity of Pakistani music, Sunidhi Chauhan couldn’t stop herself from praising Coke Studio Pakistan’s song ‘Turri Jaandi’.
Sunidhi Chauhan spoke about working with Pakistani artistes and praised the music scene across the border. to talk On Raaj Shamani’s podcast, the singer spoke about the cultural ties between India and Pakistan. She also expressed her admiration for Pakistani music as she discussed how Indian music hasn’t gone viral across the world, and why Pakistani songs are gaining popularity. Sunidhi praises Pakistani artists a lot
She said in Hindi, “I have worked with many talented artistes from Pakistan and I truly feel that we have a lot in common. Our languages, looks and even our food and culture are very similar. Whenever I meet Pakistani friends abroad, in Canada, the US or the UK, it is evident how similar we are. There are no differences. Pakistani music has really grown because it is made with a lot of love and dedication. Their industry is vibrant and their artistes are widely appreciated both in Pakistan and here in India.”
Praises pour in for Turi Jandi of Coke Studio Pakistan
He acknowledged that while the Pakistani film industry may not be as big as India, Pakistan’s music scene is fantastic and incredible. He also expressed his love for Coke Studio Pakistan, especially the song Turri Jandi by Hassan Rahim and Shazia Mansoor.
She said, “I was totally shocked by Coke Studio’s Turi Jandi video. They make music with passion, just like Coke Studio is an example of that. Right now, I am stunned by Coke Studio’s song Turi Jandi by Hassan Rahim and Shazia Mansoor, who has sung Chandni Ratan and many other songs, she is a great singer. After watching Turi Jandi you will think how did they make it? The way they have made the video is unbelievable. The song is good but the video has made it even better. It is really cute. I was really shocked.”
Sunidhi is known for many hit songs like Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi, Dhoom Machale and Beedi.
