Before the release of his upcoming film Kesari Veer, Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty sat for a special conversation with ABP Live. The actor not only opened up his new project, but also addressed the ongoing boycott trends, especially Aamir Khan and his film Sitare Zamin Paar along with the position of Hera Ferri 3 and his report with Paresh Rawal.
Raising his voice on socio-political issues on Bollywood
Asked if every celebrity or public person is expected to give his opinion on national issues, Shetty commented: “History is Bollywood’s paid trees.
He said, “We are trying to do our work. Speaking about our industry, I can say that there are other Indo-fainted men in the world.”
Aamir Khan and ‘Sitare Zamin Paar’ on boycott call
Aamir Khan’s recent boycott calls around Sitare land crosses – Turkish actor’s previous trip and triggers – Shetty emphasized the importance of moving forward.
“People should forget the past. The history of the past does not represent today’s time. Turkish situation is then and now very different. So what we move forward, instead of doing justice on the basis of the past, should be our own decision.”
He also commented on how celebrities are often targeted for harmless or unknown tasks: “When you go for big social ceremonies, you do not always know those with whom you are presenting for pictures. In today’s time, if you do not pose, if you do not pose, you are called ‘rood’, and if you do this, you still become a goal.”
Sharing his own experience, Shetty said: “This has happened to me many times – any person stands next to me with a controversial background, and I don’t know.
The Adoption actor also recalled an incident that included a legitimate company: “I once participated in an event organized by a company that seemed very promising. Two years later, it became a scam. It becomes extremely difficult to separate and judge people or organizations in such scenarios.”
Despite the challenges, Shetty reiterated that the film industry tries to be vigilant, but everything cannot be predicted or controlled.
