Sunil Shetty is a proud father. The actor, whose daughter Athiya Shetty and son -in -law Kel Rahul welcomed their baby girl Iwara in March this year, recently opened the strength of Athiya during the birth of the child.
Sunil Shetty revealed that Athiya voluntarily chose to undergo a natural delivery pain, rather than choosing for the comfort of a C-section-a decision that left her deep proud and emotional.
In a chat with News18Sunil Shetty said, “In a world where everyone wants to have a Caesarean child, he (Athiya Shetty) chose not to do so and did a natural delivery. I remember that every nurse and pediatrician in the hospital said that it is incredible how he went through the whole process.”
“It hit me as a father. I was so, ‘Wow, he is ready!” Athiya was very strong to do so, “he said.
The experienced star also shared that Athiya Shetty took his strength from his mother, Man Shetty.
Sunil Shetty said, “Her mother herself is a strong woman and Athiya probably soaks it all.
The actor also talked about how beautifully Athiya hugged motherhood.
“Athiya has hugged motherhood like a fish for water. He is absolutely fantastic. Every father thinks about his daughters as young children. I also thought and thought if she would be able to handle motherhood, but she is incredible! I keep telling about every day how she is proud of her.
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul welcomed their baby girl on 24 March. The couple revealed their name, Iwara, Iwara in an Instagram post shared on 18 April.
