Bollywood veteran Sunny Deol is set to play the role of Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project ‘Ramayana’. In a recent conversation with Zoom, the actor opened his upcoming role, his expectations from the film and his praise for co-star Ranbir Kapoor, which would be seen as Lord Ram.
Sunny on Ramayana
Sunny Deol, who has not yet started making a film for ‘Ramayana’, revealed that his shooting would start soon. Sharing his views on the role, he said, “It will be exciting, it will be fun. It will be very good, it’s going to be beautiful.”
The actor also admitted that the challenge to portray such an iconic character comes with his pressure. “See, nervousness or fear – that is the factor. But it is its beauty, because you have to find how you are going to challenge and how you are going to live it. And you are getting the opportunity to do it, and I am very sure that Amit, producer, they are doing a great job,” said Sunny.
Expectations for Hollywood-level scenes
Deol expressed optimism about the scale and grandeur of the film, expecting it to match the standards set by the large -budget Hollywood epics. “Because they are going to bring out those supernatural things and the effects on the screen that I hope – the fingers have been crossed – nothing less than Hollywood. I mean, how many times it is made, and how many Ramils are there?

‘Gadar 2’ Star also praised his co-star Ranbir Kapoor. “It’s going to be very good because he is such a good actor, and he always takes a project and won it completely,” Deol said.
