Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner in the new Superman teaser
The teaser for Superman: Legacy not only gave fans a glimpse of the new Superman, but also showcased several other iconic DC heroes, with the standout being Nathan Fillion’s portrayal of Green Lantern, Guy Gardner. While his signature green beam from Guy’s lantern ring attracts attention, it is his overall appearance that remains the most talked about.
In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, Fillion makes a brief but memorable appearance in the trailer as the Earth-based Green Lantern. With his iconic bowl-cut hairstyle, Fillion’s Guy uses his Green Lantern ring in a quick action shot, staying true to the comic book portrayal.

Netizens react to Fillion’s Guy Gardner look
Reddit discussed the various characters in the trailer other than Superman and Guy Gardner’s lead role. One Redditor wrote, “At least glad DC is putting some faith back in Green Lantern.” Another user wrote, “He looks like a huge idiot. I love it.” A third user wrote, “Looks on fire imo! Plus that little beam she made with her ring looks like we might finally get to see fire creations on the big screen , but we’ll see!”
However, one Reddit user was not a fan of the look, as they wrote, “Hot Take: Fillion doesn’t look that good with the bowl cut. I think they should have made more cuts to the military than they have now.” Meanwhile, another user wrote, “Holy cr**, they did this, they really did it with ‘The Bowl’ Gone…It’s going to be the JLI/Super Buddies era, isn’t it (and the mix of stupidity and heroism from that run will fit somewhat of the Guns style).”
