Chennai: Actor Suria officially announced on Saturday that he would work closely with Telugu film director Venki Ataluri for his next Tamil film.
It can be remembered that Venky Ataluri gave the blockbuster film ‘Lucky Bhaskar’, in which Dalkar was the head of Salman. Financial crime drama came for very important praise and found a major success by setting up a cash register ring at the box office.
Participating in a pre-of-relief event for his upcoming film ‘Retro’ in Hyderabad, actor Suria announced that his film with director Venki Ataluri would be produced by the popular production house star entertainment.

Currently, Suria has an interesting line of films starting with director Karthik Subbaraj’s ‘Retro’, which is scheduled to hit the screen on 1 May. The actor is also working on other projects including ‘Vadiwasal’ along with Varteran and #Suria 45, directed by RJ Balaji.
Pooja Hegde will be prominent with Suraya in ‘Retro’ of director Karthik Subbej. Apart from Suria and Pooja Hegde, the film will also include a host of stars including Malayalam actor Jozo George and Jairam and Tamil actor Karunakaran.
Music for the film is Cinematography by Santosh Narayanan and Shreyas Krishna. Editing is handled by Shafiq Mohammad Ali and the art directions are done by Jackie and Mayapandi. The film, which will be high on action, will be stunts by cake khmpdi.
Interestingly, Suria took special martial arts training in Thailand for this film.
