T-series Issues Statement for Fordster Dups submerged 17 aspiring artists in fake music video scam

Mumbai: The T-series has released an official statement after a fraud, in which a company representative was allegedly cheated at least 17 aspiring artists in a fake music video scam.

Conman allegedly promised roles in T-series-supported projects, collecting funds under false excuses. On Wednesday, the T-series resorted to social media to issue a statement, where they admitted that they knew about a scam in which a fraudster pretended to be a representative of his company. The music label clarified that it has no connection with the accused and condemned the misuse of its name. The label further emphasized that all its recruitment and cooperation are conducted only through verified and official channels.

The statement said, “We know about a scam, including a fraudster, who involves a T-series representative to cheat aspiring artists. T-series has no connection with a person. We work with the highest integrity, and all work in any way to work in any way to keep all the official cooperation and work.”


According to the latest reports, the cyber cell of Delhi Police has caught a person accused of cheating many aspiring models and artists by offering fraud roles in music videos. The arrest exposed a scam after a complaint at the cyber police station in Shahdara, which targeted weak persons through social media.

The accused has been identified as 33 -year -old Rahul Dev, also known by aka Siddharth. He is from Bharat Colony in Old Faridabad, Haryana. The authorities were alerted after Simran Mann, a resident of Vishwas Nagar in Shahdara, reported that he was contacted online by individuals claiming to represent T-series as casting agents.

According to Maan’s statement, he was told that he was shortlisted for a music video project and was instructed to travel to Mumbai for audition. To proceed, he was asked to transfer Rs 20,462 for flight booking, with the assurance that the amount would be reimbursed.

On 11 April, an FIR was registered under sections 318 (4) and 319 (2) of the Indian Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
