Mumbai: Announcing the news on Monday, Netflix India shared a teaser video featuring lead actors Vikrant, Taapsee and Sunny Kaushal.
The post shared by Netflix reads, “9 August ki haseen shaam, Dilruba ke naam phir aayi haseen dilruba, releasing 9th August, only on Netflix.” This indicates that the sequel will begin from where the original film ended.
Earlier in February, the makers of the upcoming thriller ‘Phir I Haseen Dillruba’ starring Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu and Sunny Kaushal released the official teaser of the film.
OTT platform Netflix shared the teaser on Instagram, captioning it, “There’s still love and madness in Rani’s story. Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba is coming soon, only on Netflix!”
The short teaser gives a glimpse of the upcoming sequel, with the song ‘Ek Haseena Thi’ from the classic film ‘Karz’ playing in the background.
‘Phir Aai Haseen Dillruba’ also stars Jimmy Shergill in the lead role.
‘Phir I Haseen Dillruba’ is the sequel to ‘Haseen Dillruba’ which premiered in July 2021 exclusively on the OTT platform Netflix and received positive reviews from the audience and featured Vikrant, Taapsee Pannu and actor Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles.
The film will premiere on Netflix.
