Slice of life comedy film Sharmaji’s daughter It will have an exclusive global premiere on Prime Video, the streamer announced on Monday.
Presented by Applause Entertainment and produced by Ellipsis Entertainment, the film is written and directed by Tahira Kashyap Khurrana.
It has been described as a light-hearted and heart-warming film. Sharmaji’s daughter The book highlights relevant topics of women empowerment and the challenges faced by women.
According to the official synopsis, “Taking a multi-generational view of three middle-class women and two teenage girls – who all share the same surname ‘Sharma’ – the film highlights their unique experiences and struggles.”
It stars Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles, along with Vanshika Taparia, Arista Mehta, Sharib Hashmi and Parvin Dabas.

Sharmaji’s daughter Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar, partners, Ellipsis Entertainment, said the film is a mix of humour and heart-touching moments.
