A trip within a journey can be encouraged by the artist Gurudas Shenoy’s enthusiasts from the holiday of his soul – and it is a different feeling that Canvas are not enough to capture the overflow from the memories of their treasures.
Recently a 60 -year -old artist said, “The show is called within the journey.Because work is a reflection of my life, my spiritual journey, my thoughts, valuables of childhood, my journey – so inspires me a lot. Confidence, freedom and feelings within me flow like a story. ,
The inner journey is ponds in two volumes – spiritual odisi and timeless statements – Wherever the eyes also suggest that the canvas has been revealed to be heard with stories.

“I often share stories from my childhood or experience from my journey in my previous series.
Immersive experience
Talking about the series, Gurudas says it was not a deliberate document of his living experiences. Artist says, “I am constantly making and because I keep working with various media, anyone can see the difference in my continuity,” the artist says that at any time he is working on many canvas, as the oils need time to dry between layers.
“But, it’s like a conversation you can pick up, where you left, and I have a fairly interesting conversation with my canvas,” the artists say that the work of making is beyond giving charcoal and coloring a platform. As he describes the bounce of the canvas under his hand, the rhythmic moment or the rasp of charcoal, you feel for Gurudas, the painting is an immersive, sensory encounter.

If someone is familiar with the work of Gurudas, one can see leisurely changes from their normal style. While there are still a luxurious color, stunning landscape and the collapse of light, there is also a sedate attraction, sepia ton, and black and white attraction.

Gurudas says, “I get happiness in small things in life.

Talking about mixed media and sepia-tinted pieces, Gurudas says, “Whenever it catches my interest, I clip an article and I have used these pieces of paper as one of the layers in my work.
“These clipping that I collect are only articles, but memories, declaration and news – both good and bad – sepia, it creates such a wonderful tone – it is surprisingly with the flow of my thought.
He says how he usually sketches with charcoal and later filled in color, he was also surprised by the spirit of completion in these canvas. “Maybe I’m at the time of life where you are ready for simplicity or minimum.
The artist says that the whole process was organic and the vacancies also appeared in the work of their will.

“I am blessed to be born a place with the best rivers of nature, the royal mountain top, the Arabian Sea and the winning beaches, not only inspire me, but whenever I am in the middle of it, I get a huge peace.
He says, “Not only there is a treasure of color in nature, but it is also a place of abundant festivities – Yakshagana and Mayalata dance performance, bed temple chariots, paddy fields, rangoli and flowers – there is no shortage of color.”

“I am a visual artist and when nature is a part of your existence, it takes me to a spiritual fashion.
“There is abstraction around – the game of light and how it falls on the boulder or land late or in the expansion of the sky.”
“The color of the fall, the blue where the sky and the sea are found, such as the sun shines on the horizon – which is abstract in itself and there is no enough name for these hugs and tones.
