Tanishaa Mukerji, who was seen Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 Last year, in a recent interview she opened up about being compared to her elder sister Kajol Indian ExpressWhile Kajol has resumed her innings on OTT platforms apart from the big screen, Tanishaa Mukerji has not had much success in films. Talking about the constant comparisons since the beginning of her career, Tanishaa said, “These things don’t bother me. I can’t compare my sister and myself. I don’t even compare myself with other actors, so why would I compare myself with my sister? Every actor and star has their own journey, I believe. And yes, my career wasn’t as good as my sister’s, but she started at the age of 16.”
Tanishaa said, “I felt very privileged because she was in the industry. I thank her career for giving me everything I needed. After all, I had a very comfortable career. I didn’t have to work. So from that aspect, I never compare. I think the world likes to compare, I don’t live in that space.”
Last year Tanishaa made a comment on the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 which gained momentum. She said on the show that she is not a “star” while her sister Kajol and brother-in-law Ajay Devgn have achieved stardom. When asked by The Indian Express about Kajol’s reaction to her comment, Tanishaa said, “We have a very strong bond, there is a feeling… See, Kajol understands the intention behind everything I say, and I am sure she is proud of me being honest and real. That’s what our mother has taught us to always be who we are.”
She further added, “I believe in whatever I said on stage. I have set a great standard for myself because these people are really amazing personalities. I don’t know about others, but I won’t call myself a star just because I have achieved certain things. I will do so only if I feel I have achieved something even close to their level of love, goodwill and work. That is stardom for me. They are my idols and I respect them. But I got emotional getting this recognition from someone from the same fraternity.”
Tanishaa Mukherjee made her debut in films Sssshhh… He has acted in films like Neal ‘n’ Nikki, Tango Charlie, Tum Milo Toh Sahi, Code Name AbdulTanisha also participated bigg boss 7 and was the first runner up. She also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.
