Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium wasn’t just buzzing with the crowd’s energy – Taylor Swift herself was feeling the love during her epic 100th Eras Tour show. Swift used this milestone night to not only celebrate with fans, but also to offer a glimpse of her future beyond the final curtain call. The pop star, who is currently touring around the world as part of her commercially successful and record-breaking tour, dashed the hopes of millions to attend her concerts when she announced she would not be extending the Eras Tour until 2025.
Taylor Swift announces official end of Eras Tour
“I think a lot of people are wondering how to celebrate the 100th show?” the Cruel Summer singer took her approach to talking to the crowd. “And for me, celebrating the 100th show means that this is the first time I’ve acknowledged myself and accepted that this tour is going to end in December. That’s it, that’s it,” she said, causing the entire stadium to momentarily gasp in surprise.

There was speculation that Taylor Swift might extend her tour dates, but the final destination of the tour is set for Vancouver, Canada from December 6-8. So, no, we won’t be getting any more doses of Swift after the December stop. Describing the last Eras Tour destination as “the most exhausting and all-encompassing”, she added that it is also going to be “the most joyful, rewarding and amazing thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

Adding a little sarcasm and a lot of emotion, the Cruel Summer singer went on to say how the Eras Tour has become part of her entire life, to the point that she has forgotten she ever had hobbies. The 14-time Grammy winner reminisced about the time when she is not on stage, mentioning that all she does while sitting at home is think of clever acoustic song mashups and consider what fans might like to hear.

Swift continued, “I want to spend another show just thinking about this and living in this moment with you and being here with you and just know that when this tour gets into triple digits of shows, I appreciate every single effort you’ve made to be with us. So thank you.”
The TTPD singer kicked off her worldwide hits tour in 2023, beginning with the United States, making it her first destination. The nearly three-hour performance featured over 40 tracks from her entire discography, including recent updates that included additional songs from her most recent album, Tortured Poets Department, while also featuring some of her older hits that were not released. After that, she continued her journey around the world, visiting South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
