This comes after the star wife’s vocal support for Donald Trump. The two enjoyed the start of the 2024 NFL season, in which the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Baltimore Ravens, in separate suites, while last season they were often inseparable.
Taylor Swift didn’t sit with Brittany Mahomes at the Chiefs game
On September 5, Taylor Swift made a grand entrance at Arrowhead Stadium wearing a denim-on-denim outfit and red thigh-high boots in support of her beloved KC Chiefs. The 14-time Grammy winner, surrounded by security personnel, arrived at her private suite for the NFL season opener. The pop star was spotted with Kelce’s father Ed, while Brittany Mahomes was absent from any nearby seats.
Britney was actually at the season opener, posting on Instagram Stories from her suite. This was unusual, as the two had often been seen together before, celebrating Chiefs wins and enjoying the attention of the cameras. Outside of the stadium, the two also maintained a strong bond, with Britney often spotted meeting up with Swift and her friends for shopping and parties.

Patrick Mahomes’ wife faced heavy criticism for liking a post from former President Donald Trump on Instagram that stated his policy positions. It sparked a debate online, with many suggesting that Taylor Swift should stay away from her game-day friend during matches.
Taylor’s fans left no stone unturned in expressing their concerns on social media, saying her friendship with Britney could be seen as an indirect support for Trump. Many speculated that the singer wanted to distance herself from Mahomes until the controversy was resolved, which perhaps explains why she ‘ignored’ him at the game.
Brittany Mahomes vocally supports Donald Trump
Trump praised Brittany Mahomes, calling her “beautiful” and said, “I want to thank the beautiful Brittany Mahomes for defending me so strongly.” He referenced a post in which she explained how under her leadership, the United States would tackle controversial issues, such as stopping the “migrant invasion” and addressing the “migrant crime epidemic,” among others. “And the fact is that MAGA is the largest and most powerful political movement in the history of our now failed country,” the Republican added.

Although the Cruel Summer singer has not endorsed any presidential candidate for the 2024 election, her past statements indicate that she strongly opposes former President Trump and even wanted to see him voted out in the last election.
“With crime and illegal immigration totally out of control, inflation devastating all Americans, and a world laughing at the stupidity of our hapless “leaders,” it’s nice to see someone who loves our country, and wants to save it from destruction,” Trump further wrote on his Truth social account. “What a great couple – see you both at the Super Bowl!”
Britney, who is currently pregnant with her third child, has since deleted her like from the post. While Taylor hasn’t publicly endorsed any candidates this year, she did support President Joe Biden in 2020. In her documentary Miss Americana, she was shown telling her family that she feels a responsibility to “be on the right side of history.”
