‘As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything’
“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t yet, now is a great time to research the issues and positions these candidates take on the topics that matter most to you. As a voter, I make it a point to watch and read as much as I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country,” Taylor wrote.

He also wrote in his Instagram caption, “Recently I discovered that an AI falsely endorsing ‘me’ for President was posted on their site. This really highlighted my fears about AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It led me to the conclusion that I as a voter need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election. The simplest way to combat misinformation is the truth.”
‘I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice’
Taylor also wrote, “I will be giving my vote to Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election. I am voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for rights and causes I think need a warrior to carry them forward. I think she is a steady, talented leader and I believe if we lead with peace and not chaos, we can accomplish so much in this country. I was so pleased and impressed by the selection of her partner @timwalz who has stood up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
She concluded, “I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. You have to do your research, and you have to make your choice. I also want to say, especially to first-time voters: remember that you have to be registered to vote! I also think it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll put links to register and find early voting dates and information in my story. With love and hope, Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady.”
