Taylor Swift Gave Her Team $197 Million in Bonuses After Erasure Tour, Here’s Their Reaction

When the tour ended in December 2024, People reported that Taylor had paid $197 million in bonuses to individuals involved in the production. Recipients included production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band members and other behind-the-scenes crew.

In the second episode of end of an eraThe film, released on Friday, shows Taylor preparing envelopes and handwritten notes for team members. The documentary series describes the Eraz Tour and its behind-the-scenes operations. “The bonus day is very important, because it’s very important to me to set an example with The Eraz Tour, because people who work on the road, if the tour makes more money, they get a bigger bonus,” Taylor wrote in the letter.

Although the documentary does not specify the amounts paid to individual recipients, it does show several crew members reacting to their bonuses. In one clip, production assistant Max Holmes opens his envelope and says, “I’m about to faint.” Another scene shows Taylor assembling his onstage entourage, including dancers and band members, to personally distribute the bonuses.

Dancer Kameron Saunders reads her note aloud. “Dear work, we have traveled the world just as we set out to do. We have dazzled the crowds, but we have also dazzled family. My full gratitude does not come from any bank, but is [bleep] Dollar just to say thanks. Love, Taylor,” he read. Several staff members are seen reacting emotionally when Swift hands out the envelopes.

Taylor Swift’s Famous Bonuses

Taylor began issuing massive bonuses early in the tour. In August 2023, after the North American leg, he reportedly distributed more than $55 million to his team. This included giving $100,000 to each truck driver responsible for transporting the stage set before a show in Santa Clara, California.

“She’s giving away an amount of money that is life-changing for these guys,” Mike Sherkenbach, who runs the transportation company that works with the tour, previously told Rolling Stone. “A lot of these drivers are not homeowners, and that kind of lump sum gives you the ability to pay for a house up front. That’s what really makes me happy. That generosity is a game changer for these guys,” he said.
