Taylor Swift has backed Deadpool and Wolverine! The 34-year-old singer took to social media on Thursday to express her opinion about the Ryan Reynolds-starring film. As the Cruel Summer hitmaker joined in the hype around the new Marvel movie, she expressed her love and support for “one of her best friends.”

Swift gushed about Reynolds on her Instagram Story and praised his hard work and efforts in the superhero film. “Over the past few years I have watched one of my best friends on the planet pour every bit of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film,” she wrote.
“He’s done some of the best work of his life, and this movie feels like a true bliss door, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich. I don’t know how he did it,” the Midnighters singer said, before taking a dig at Reynolds’ friendly rivalry with her co-star Hugh Jackman. “But that’s just Hugh!” she wrote.
“These other strangers interrupted the photo and we were very polite to ask them to leave,” Swift joked in reference to the photo she shared, in which she appears alongside Jackman, Reynolds, Blake Lively and Shawn Levy. The Blank Space singer urged her fans to buy tickets to the action-comedy film.
Swift added, “Deadpool and Wolverine are coming out tomorrow! If you like things that are incredibly awesome, buy tickets here,” before closing with another joke, referring to Reynolds’ on-screen character, saying, “Hats off to Wade Wilson, aka my godkid’s sperm donor!”
The Fortnite singer has been friends with the Free Guy star and his wife and actress, Lively, for several years. The 36-year-old actress first contacted Swift in 2015. Since then, the pair have remained inseparable.
