Taylor Swift expressed her support and admiration for Simone Biles after her first trials for the 2024 Olympics. The 27-year-old gymnast performed an energetic floor routine set to the hit song Ready For It? from Swift’s 2017 album, Reputation. As the video of Biles’ performance went viral on social media, the Cruel Summer hitmaker reacted with the best comment on Saturday.

“Watched it multiple times and still not ready. She’s ready for it though,” the 34-year-old singer wrote on a video of Biles’ Friday performance on the second day of the 2024 U.S. Olympic gymnastics trials. Swift chimed in with multiple emojis, including clapping hands, a gold medal, an American flag and a red heart, in the comments section of the clip shared by NBC Olympics on X (formerly Twitter).

The Swift-inspired gymnastics routine helped Biles top the leaderboard with a score of 14.850, according to Us Weekly. The four-time Olympic gold medalist now moves on to the next round of trials on Sunday, June 30, to earn a spot on Team USA’s women’s gymnastics team. During her Friday routine, Biles performed a triple-double, which commentators called “the world’s most difficult tumbling pass.”
Meanwhile, Swift is currently on her Eras Tour stop in Dublin, Ireland, with Paramore as special guests for all three concerts. The Blank Space crooner was overwhelmed by the audience’s response during her sold-out show at the Aviva Stadium, which has a capacity of over 50,000.
“We’re trying to get ready, but we’re not ready for the level that you’re on, Dublin,” an emotional Swift said. “I swear, we’re going to do our best to entertain you guys, because, oh my god, what you just did for us, we’re going to remember it for the rest of our lives. We love you so much,” she added.
