Pop sensation Taylor Swift will not be terminated in the legal battle with US co-stars Black Liveli and Justin Baldoni, when the US District Court judge rejected the request to increase Baldoni’s Discovery Deadline, the Peepal magazine said.
On Friday, September 12, Judge Louis J Liman ruled against Baldony’s attempt to schedule Swift’s statement beyond the cut-off date. The judge said that Baldony’s lawyer failed to show “proper hard work” and thus refused to be requested according to the people.
How Taylor Swift’s name entered the Vibble vs. Baldony case
According to The Independent, Blake Liveli filed a case against Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment on the set. He also alleged that he faced vengeance as a smear campaign. Baldony denied claims and launched a $ 400 million counters for defamation, which was rejected in June.
After Baldoni claimed, Swift’s name came to the fore in the controversy that she was called to discuss the script rights Liveli and her husband Ryan Ryanolds to discuss script rights. The filing clarified that Swift only indicated that his schedule could adjust a statement in late October if forced by the court, but she never voluntarily agreed to it. The letter states, “We do not take any role in those disputes.”
Baldoni’s current efforts to attach Swift come at a time when the pop sensation is getting ready for the release of its twelfth studio album, The Life of a Short, which comes out on 3 October. The director-actor’s team claimed Swift’s “existing professional commitments” that it would not be able to testify until October 20, which would be refused to reject the court.

While Liveli got a slight expansion of his own discovery deadline by 10 October, Baldony’s team will not get any extra time to pursue Swift. This decision indicates that it is likely that there will be no other role in the Swift case.
