It has been confirmed that Taylor Swift will not be a part of the cast of Deadpool and Wolverine. The third edition of the fan favourite American superhero film Deadpool and Wolverine is one of the most awaited movies of this year. Hugh Jackman’s return to the screen as an X-Men along with Deadpool is a dream come true for the fans.
The film is now part of the Marvel Comic Universe (MCU) and is notorious for deliberately throwing surprises when it comes to its movies. Following this, fans had previously speculated that the latest version of the Deadpool film would feature Taylor Swift, but the rumours have now been debunked.
Taylor Swift is not a part of Deadpool and Wolverine
Deadpool director Shawn Levy and Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman maintain a good friendship with Swift. Rumors of the singer’s role in the film spread when Reynolds and Hugh attended NFL games in October last year, where the Cardigan singer was also present to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
However, according to an Entertainment Weekly exclusive, Swift is not going to be a part of the film. The clarification on the subject came after speculations were fueled with the release of Deadpool’s latest poster on Monday. The poster featured Wade and Logan wearing matching bracelets, which is heavily linked to Taylor Swift’s worldwide Eras Tour.

Ryan Reynolds said, ‘There is no straight up dishonesty thing’
The Canadian producer-actor has remained mum on speculation about the film he’s working on alongside director Levy. However, in an interview with Fandango in May, the former addressed the rumors, saying there’s “nothing straight up dishonest.”
He added, “In movies like this, there’s a lot of speculation about a lot of people who might be in the movie. I saw one who was convinced that Elvis was in the movie,” Reynolds joked. “Anything can happen and that’s what I love about this universe. Surprise is the essence of Deadpool.”
Deadpool and Wolverine is scheduled to release on July 26 this year.
