Travis Kelsey has made a promise to his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s family, who call the NFL star a “built-in bodyguard.”
According to The Mirror Online, Kelsey has promised to be the American singer-songwriter’s “mentor” in every way. Swift’s family is reportedly happy with her one-year relationship with Kansas City Chiefs phenom Kelsey, as their love continues to grow.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source said that the singer’s family is “very relieved” about their relationship because Swift loves Travis very much, which “makes her security staff’s job a lot easier.”
“No one will try to get close to her while she’s holding hands with her powerhouse boyfriend,” the source added.

Travis Kelce admits his ‘protective’ nature
In a ‘New Heights’ podcast conversation with his brother Jason Kelsey, Travis opened up about his protective feelings towards Taylor, especially in light of the fame their initial dates in New York City received last year, reports Mirror.
He further added on the show that he always feels like he’s “a man in a situation” whenever he goes on a date.
Acknowledging that he is protective of her, the nine-time Pro Bowler said, “I think you always have to have that feeling or that self-awareness.”
Just a few months into their relationship, Kelsey reportedly asked Swift’s father for permission to marry her. Furthermore, their fans and the media have been speculating about a possible engagement between the two.
Swift was spotted at the stadium with Travis’ mom during a Kansas City Chiefs game last season, where the couple spoke openly about their relationship. Swift also attended 13 NFL games in the 2023 season and watched them win the Super Bowl.
The “Black Space” singer is expected to head to Kansas City to spend time with Travis after she wraps up her European tour in the next two weeks.
