LONDON (AP) — British police said there was no indication a planned attack on Taylor Swift’s concert in Vienna would have any impact on her final five shows in Europe at London’s Wembley Stadium next week.
Swift’s three concerts in Vienna this week, expected to draw 195,000 people, were cancelled after police said they had foiled an attack by a 19-year-old Austrian man who wanted to attack fans with a bomb or knife.
Her record-breaking Eras tour came to the UK in June, with shows in Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff, followed by a three-night appearance in London attended by current Prime Minister Keir Starmer and members of the Royal Family.
According to reports, she will return to Wembley on August 15 for five nights, after which she will head back to North America for her final shows of Eras, which has become the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.
A spokesman for London’s Metropolitan Police said: “There is no indication that the matters being investigated by the Austrian authorities will have any impact on upcoming events in London.”

London’s Met Police said millions of visitors each year have a safe and enjoyable experience at high-profile events held in London, including when Bruce Springsteen performed at Wembley in July.
“The Met works closely with venue security teams and other partners to ensure appropriate security and policing plans are in place,” the spokesperson said.
“As always, we will continue to carefully review any new information.”

The singer’s fans took to social media to express their disappointment at the cancellation of the show in Vienna, and fear the London concert may also be cancelled, and demanded tickets.
