The makers have announced the release date of the second season. tell me liesProduced by Meghan Oppenheimer, reported People. American drama TV series tell me liesCreated by Meghan Oppenheimer, based on Carola Lavringh’s 2018 novel of the same name.
The series was released on September 7, 2022. It is based on the relationship between Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco. Grace Van Patten plays Lucy Albright, while Jackson White is seen as Stephen DeMarco. Season 2 will premiere on September 4 on Hulu with its first two episodes.
Show creator Meghan Oppenheimer revealed that Season 2 is “more of a war story than a love story.” PeopleBecause Lucy “starts the season trying to have a redemption arc,” while she’s also “out for revenge” after the shocking events of the Season 1 finale. “This season really hurt me very deeply,” Oppenheimer said.
“It touches the heart a little more, while still having that really inspiring, thrilling, kind of badass tone that everybody loves.” Two new cast members are Leo (Thomas Doherty), who has a clear connection to Lucy in one scene — and Oliver (Tom Ellis), who plays a “college professor” who Oppenheimer says brings a level of maturity to the show “because he’s 45, and putting him opposite these kids, you’re reminded of how young they are.”
The first season of tell me liesBased on Carola Loveringe’s novel of the same name, the series ended in October 2022 with the shocking revelation that Stefan had gotten engaged to Lucy’s high school best friend Lydia (Natalie Linez) in a flash-forward, while Bree was unaware that Lucy and Evan had hooked up during college.

Oppenheimer revealed that season 2 would feature storylines in two timelines, one in 2008, when the two friends were in college together at Bayard, and one in 2015, when Evan and Bree are getting married, and added that this is when most of the season’s “shocking moments” take place.
Though the story is still “in Lucy and Steven’s world,” Oppenheimer said there was a greater focus this time around on expanding the stories of the entire friend group. “It’s definitely still centered around Lucy and Stephen. They’re definitely the core of the show.
