Along with money, “social currency” plays an important role, as relationships, trust, and influence determine who stays in and who gets voted out.
With its latest promo, The 50 has revealed a surprise twist: one dedicated viewer will win Rs 50 lakh. The move fundamentally changes the dynamic between the show and its audience, turning passive viewership into active participation beyond likes, comments or votes.

The producers captioned the promo, “The viewer wins, not the player! Welcome to The 50,” hinting that the role of the audience may be as important as that of the contestants.
