Mumbai: As the makers of “The Bengal Files”, who was earlier given the title of ‘The Delhi Files’, unveiled the teaser of the upcoming film on Thursday, actor Darshan Kumar said that this time his character is even more intense.
The teaser is emotionally charged and cruelly honest. It introduces the characters of Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Puneet Isar and Pallavi Joshi.
Darshan, who once again plays the role of a Kashmiri Pandit, called the character a “responsibility”.

Darshan said: “I am really excited and a little nervous about the teaser of Bengal files. My character bears the pain, power and flexibility of an entire community. After the Kashmir files, it was not just a role to step into another Kashmiri Pandit’s shoes, but a responsibility.”

The actor hopes that people join the journey of their character and the film gives the message.

Talking about working with actors like Anupam, Pallavi and Mithun among others, Darshan said: ‘It is really surprising to work with Anupam Kher ji, Pallavi Joshi ji, Mithun Da, Puneet Isar, our director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotary Sir, and our producer Abhishek Aggarwal. After Kashmir files, being part of a film with such mythological actors seems like a blessing. ,
Tagging him as “living legends”, he said: “I am really grateful to share screen space with these living legends – this is an experience that inspires me as an actor and enhances me.”
The film has been supported by Abhishek Aggarwal with Darshan Kumar and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s reunion.
Meanwhile, Darshan is currently shooting an untital suspense thriller in Bihar.
“The Bengal Files” is fully prepared to release on 5 September. This is the third and final installment in the “Files” trilogy of Agnihotri based on modern Indian history, after twinkling files and Kashmir files. The film is based on the great Calcutta murders of 1946.
The film investigates communal violence in undivided Bengal during the 1940s, including incidents such as Direct Action Day and Nokhali riots.
