Washington: Wayne Lewis, founding members of the R&B ‘Atlantic Star’, who sings Vocals, and known for pen hits like ‘always’ and ‘Secret Lovers’, informed by his band.
The ‘Atlantic Star’ band shared the news of Ven Lewis’ demise on his Facebook handle, asked for “respect for privacy” for the singer’s family. The cause of death by the band did not reveal.

According to the deadline, the Atlantic Star, a New York-based band, was founded in 1976 by Wayne Lewis and his two brothers-Devi Louis (singer and guitarist) and Jonathan Lewis (keyboardists and trombonists) as well as drummer Porter Carroll Junior, Basist Clifford Arcist and Particular-Failist.
The early members included prominent singer Sharon Bryant (later replaced by Barbara Weather), Trumpter William Sudrath and Saxophoneist Demon Rent (later replaced by Quran Daniel).
According to the outlet, in the late 70s and early 80s, the Atlantic star made several hits on the R&B chart, including ‘Circle’, which marked the group’s first single to hit the billboard hot 100.
Later the track, such as ‘Allways’, reached number 1 on the coveded chart, while the 1992 ‘Masterpiece’ reached number 3.
The first signing for A&M, the group then shifted the Warner Brothers Records, trimmed to a panchak with three Lewis brothers, Philips and Warees by 1987, reported the deadline.
After the smash success of “Always”, a single career was left to pursue and replaced with several other female singers.
In 1992, members of the Atlantic Star appeared as themselves and performed on an episode of soap during the day, reported deadline.
Wayne Lewis and David Lewis are credited with writing most of the band’s songs. The group’s most recent album was released in Metamorphosis, 2017.
