In 1873, Rai Bahadur Arcot Narnaswami Mudaliyar launched a free English primary school in the Cantonment area of Bengaluru for the benefit of socially disrupted students. A botanist, his visionary steps came at a time when such educational opportunities were the scope of the elite and Europeans.
Since then, the institute has been known as RBANM after its founder, and has developed to include four schools, one pre-university college and a degree college. Keeping in mind the ethos of Arcot Narmanswamy, a trust ensures that the disadvantaged children not only secure education, but also have the opportunity to express their creativity.
Expanding fantasies is an exhibition of art work by RBANM students and cuisted by a British photographer Claire Arni, who has made Bengaluru his home. Claire, who is the head of Arts Programming for three and a half years of Rananm, says, “This show is a closing of the work I am doing in school, and it includes the efforts of their students of seven to ten classes.”

As part of the program, she invites artists of various subjects to conduct workshops for children, including stained glass artist Asad Hajibhoy, who taught them to fashion lightbox from garbage,And minority Mithra Kamalam. Claire teaches photography to students and has prepared the course so that each child has one and a half hours of art class in a week.
In addition to invited artists from other cities and experts, for the first time to see the program, other, such as other -based paper crane labs, which combine science and art, also organize programs for students.
Claire says, “Children have made children a comprehensive spectrum of things, including crafts, photography and dance videos, which they choreographed on their own, which are on performance,” Clare, called Clare, said that he works on large panels to display maximum number of pieces.
“When I first started working with children, they did not first study art because it was not part of their syllabus. What I tried to do in class is to encourage personal expression and it has really developed over years. It is reflected at expanding fantasies where there is such a diversity performance.”

This is the first time students are demonstrating their work in the last three and a half years.
“The high point was looking at the work of the children beautifully displayed in an art gallery. While he was absolutely thrilled to see his work, looking at the public and appreciating that he gave them such a boost.”
