The band is a rare multilingual band in the orphan Hyderabad, characterized by two female prominent singers. Ananya Bhaskar said, “When I founded the group in April 2022, it was unusual for two women as the main singer in the music band.” Ananya, one of the leading singers and the founder of the band, Mansa Seshu (chief singer), Samuel Sanjeev (drummer), Smaran Vadkopu (chief guitarist), Rajesh Korukonda (keyboardist), Rajiv James (Basist), and John Wesley (Sound Engineer).

The troop of multilingual artists has performed at club nights, corporate events, private weddings, college festivals, movie audio launch and award ceremonies. Moving forward in styles, from movie-to-energy dance numbers-their performances mix Telugu and Hindi classics with a mixture of Tamil, Punjabi and English hits.
Ananya states that the band’s name has a relationship with the heart: “Out of the seven chakras in the human body, ‘orphan’ is the Dil Chakra, and we hope that our music will be closely echoed with the hearts of the audience.”

The band is a five -year -old dream of Ananya. An engineering bachelor’s and Karnataka music enthusiast, she was first inspired during a birthday celebrations in Mensia Pub in 2017, where the lively performance of musicians left a permanent impression. Inspired to create similar memories for music lovers, he nurtured a calm ambition to make his band. After changing two jobs, he finally left to carry forward his dream in March 2020.

Ananya and Mansa started their music journey through reality shows like Zee Telugu Sa re ga ma pa And Indian statue (Mansa was also a finalist in the most recent edition Sa re ga ma paAlthough these experiences gave him the confidence of taking a dip in full -time music, the initial months were challenging and maintained.

“When I started, it was rare to be two female major singers,” she says. “Some also suggested,”Add oka male singer nu band low checukondi‘(Why don’t you add a male singer to the band?) “

The band survived, although not without changes in line-up in three years. “It is not easy to bring six different brains together, because each person has their own aspirations. Some have to leave, but we are all in good words,” says Ananya.

Known for its cover of popular film music, the band is a mixture of tune and excited numbers in the orphan two -hour ‘contemporary and classic’ set. Performing in college campuses has the opportunity to join the students. In such an event in IIIT Hyderabad, the band experienced what they describe as ‘crazy energy’, in which the crowd sings and sends scaried admirable messages on tissues.
The band plans to introduce a mixture of classical fusion in its concerts. “The orphan is not just a band; it is a commitment to provide music excellence, to create memories with every note and leave a permanent impression on every audience,” Ananya says.
