Baby reindeer and Bridgerton stars come together for new project
The star cast of The Magic Faraway Tree movie adaptation has just been upgraded. Earlier, we had Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy in the cast lineup. Now, our beloved Penelope Featherington, aka Nicola Coughlan, is joining the cast lineup alongside Baby Reindeer’s breakout star Jessica Gunning as well as Nonso Anozie. Financed by Neal Street Productions, Elysian Film Group and Ashland Hill Media Finance, the upcoming film announced the cast lineup on Thursday, which has left fans of all three franchises excited.

The Magical Faraway Tree Summary
The Magic Faraway Tree follows the lives of Polly (Foy) and Tim Thompson (Garfield), who move to the English countryside with their three children, Beth, Joe and Fran, “There, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric inhabitants…Soon after the family arrives in the countryside, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric inhabitants, including treasured characters Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot and the Saucepan Man,” according to the official synopsis.

The film will be directed by Ben Gregor (known for his roles in Britannia, Cuckoo, Black Ops and Fatherhood) from a screenplay written by Simon Farnaby (known for his contributions to Wonka and Paddington 2). The production is backed by Oscar contender Pippa Harris (best known for 1917) and Nicholas Brown (also involved in Britannia via Neal Street Productions). Shooting is planned to begin in the United Kingdom in the coming weeks. Enid Blyton’s literature is in high demand, with her books translated into over 35 languages ​​and over 500 million copies sold worldwide.
