Mumbai: Actress Alia Bhatt, who is set to play the lead role in the female-led spy universe film “Alpha”, has expressed her admiration for her co-star Sharvari. Riding high on the success of her horror-comedy films “Munjya” and “Maharaj”, Sharvari on Friday shared the trailer of “Veda”.
In her post, Sharvari wrote: “Justice. Equality. Freedom. A battle that Veda and Abhimanyu will fight till the very end. #Veda trailer out now! In cinemas this Independence Day in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu!” Alia reshared Sharvari’s post on her Instagram story with the caption: “This girl is on fire,” along with a fire emoji.
The makers on Friday released the trailer of “Veda”, featuring John Abraham, Abhishek Banerjee, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mouni Roy.
The story revolves around a young girl who fights against oppression and demands social justice against the oppressors who persecute Dalit communities on the basis of caste and untouchability.
Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on August 15. Sharvari, who has begun shooting for the upcoming film ‘Alpha’, recently shared a photo on Instagram in which she can be seen posing with the film’s clapboard and director Shiv Rawail.

Both Alia and Sharvari will play super spies in YRF Spy Universe’s first female-led film ‘Alpha’, which also stars actor Bobby Deol. Directed by Shiv Rawail, ‘Alpha’ is the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe.
The title of the film ‘Alpha’ was released in a special video. The YRF spy universe created by producer Aditya Chopra includes blockbusters like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathan’ and ‘Tiger 3’.
Upcoming films in the spy universe include ‘War 2’, ‘Pathan 2’ and ‘Tiger vs Pathan’ with Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr.
