Tom Brady was reportedly “shocked” by Gisele Bündchen’s pregnancy news. An insider tells Page Six that the former New England Patriots quarterback “never imagined” that his ex-wife would start a family with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

The news comes nearly two years after Bündchen filed for divorce from Brady that she is expecting her third child with her jiu-jitsu trainer. The 44-year-old model and the NFL star called it quits after 13 years of marriage. In the wake of his ex-wife’s pregnancy, a source told the outlet that “Tom knew things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin, but he never thought they would have a child together.”
“It wasn’t something that was on their radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him he was shocked, to say the least,” the insider added. Brady has two children—son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11—with the former Victoria’s Secret Angel. “After the initial shock wore off,” the source said, the 47-year-old athlete “has gotten used to the idea and is happy for Gisele.”
“At the end of the day, Tom’s only focus is on his kids and his career. What Gisele decides to do with her life is really none of her business, the insider said. News of Bündchen’s pregnancy came to light on Monday. After her split from Brady, she began dating Valente in June 2023.
According to TMZ, her pregnancy is about five or six months along, with a due date of early 2025. The jiu-jitsu trainer and Brazilian model are reportedly waiting for the birth to find out the gender of their baby. They are also planning to give birth at home. Sources told the outlet that Brady found out about Bündchen’s pregnancy before the news hit the Internet.
