Tom Cruise hasn’t seen his 18-year-old daughter Suri since she was just 7, raising questions about the reason for their estrangement.
Despite his successful film career, including the Top Gun and Mission Impossible franchises, Cruise has chosen not to repair his relationship with his youngest child.
“The reason why Tom hasn’t seen Suri in all these years is simply that he hasn’t wanted to meet her. That’s it,” a source told Star.
Notably, Cruise has maintained a positive relationship with his other children, leaving many wondering why he decided not to reconnect with Suri. The award-winning star was last seen with his daughter in 2012.
The 62-year-old actor appears to have a great relationship with his two adopted children from his ex-wife Nicole Kidman , Isabella Cruise , 31, and Connor Cruise , 29.
“In any divorce where there are children involved, the father is given the right to see his child,” the insider added, referring to Cruise’s 2012 divorce from Suri’s mother, Katie Holmes.
“Fathers in prison can see their children. Tom didn’t get to see Suri grow up because he chose not to. It was entirely his decision.”

Will Cruise be able to reconcile with his daughter Suri?
In June, teenager Suri distanced herself from him by dropping the surname Cruise during her high school graduation ceremony in New York City, making it clear she wants no association with her famous father.
She decided to keep her new surname as ‘Suri Noel’, which she took from her mother Katie’s middle name.
“She’s showing appreciation for her mom by using her middle name,” a separate source told Page Six, adding that Suri was also eager to have “her own identity” so she can “start fresh at college” later this year, miles away from her father.
The source also indicated that Suri’s decision to drop her father’s last name and adopt her mother’s middle name, Noelle, will help her stay less in the spotlight and “avoid the paparazzi” as she begins her studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the fall.

It’s unclear whether Suri has legally changed her last name from Cruz to Noel, though she previously used the new name in playbills for her performance in Head Over Heels on Broadway. Suri has no contact with her father, but Katie, on the other hand, has been a supportive mother to her daughter.
