Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise was conferred the title of Knight of Honour by French Culture Minister Rashida Dati in Paris on July 26.
This means that Cruise has joined the ranks of renowned artists, actors and filmmakers such as Robert Redford, Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood to have received the prestigious award. Diversity,
Dati shared a photo of herself with Cruz on her ex’s account, in which she is showing his medal.
The ceremony was held in private and reportedly took place just hours before the opening of the Olympics 2024 which is currently being held in Paris. Cruz has not yet commented on the honor.
Meanwhile, the Paris Olympics are being held amid political unrest in France following the recent parliamentary elections. However, the Olympics opening ceremony was attended by a number of celebrities including Cruise, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Shaun White, Nina Dobrev, Lindsey Vonn, Serena Williams, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Snoop Dogg, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, Tyla, Queen Latifah and Rebel Wilson.
