Suri Cruise, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has been making headlines recently for her high school accomplishments. Suri, 18, graduated from LaGuardia High School on Friday, June 21. She celebrated receiving her diploma with her mom while the Top Gun actor was busy attending a Taylor Swift concert.
Suri Cruise drops her famous last name
The girl, who has now graduated from high school, was spotted posing for pictures with Holmes, 45, and a friend outside a rustic brick building in New York City. In the pictures, the mother-daughter duo look excited and thrilled over Suri’s achievement.
The Alone Together actress wore matching pleated pants and a long-sleeve shirt in a pastel yellow hue. Meanwhile, Suri wore a sleek white dress underneath her red graduation robe and held a hat in hand as the two headed to Manhattan’s United Palace Theater.

While it is still unclear why Suri dropped her father’s last name, the Mission Impossible star has been out of the family picture since his divorce from Holmes. Around the time of his daughter’s graduation ceremony, the Hollywood veteran was spotted enjoying the Eras Tour show in London.
Last week, she was spotted romancing her high school boyfriend Toby Cohen, who is an aspiring musician. The young couple shared a daring kiss while hanging out in New York City’s Central Park. Shortly after they were caught packing on the PDA, Cohen made his Instagram account private.
