Travis Kelsey’s father hits out at Taylor Swift and Kanye West over son’s controversial song: ‘Mental illness…’

Travis Kelce’s father Ed has publicly criticized Kanye West for a song that references his son and Taylor Swift on West’s new album, Vulture 2. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s high-profile relationship with the pop superstar has made him a frequent target for pop culture references and name-calling rap wars, with West’s song being the latest example. While the couple has remained silent on the matter, Kelce Sr. hasn’t hesitated to express his disagreement with the rapper’s words.

The battle between Kanye West and Taylor Swift is heating up again with West’s new album, Vulture 2. They’ve had a rocky relationship since the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards fiasco that got even messier when Kim Kardashian got involved. West has mentioned Swift before in his song “Famous,” but this is the first time he’s included Travis Kelce in the feud.

A line in rapper Wayne’s song Lifestyle says, “I roll my Taylor spliffs up tight at the end like Travis Kelsey,” which further inflames an already raging controversy.

Eadie shared a Daily Mail post on Facebook in which the couple was mentioned by the Yeezy rapper. She captioned the post, “Mental illness coming out in full force.” West has previously admitted to struggling with bipolar disorder.

“If you don’t take medication every day to stay in a certain state, your health is likely to deteriorate and it can lead you to a point where you could even end up in the hospital,” West opened up about his mental health in 2019 and shared his struggle with David Letterman in a Season 2 episode of the Netflix series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.”

Did Taylor Swift outdo Kanye West?

Swifties believe that Taylor Swift has not ignored the dig Kanye West took at her and her boyfriend. The Pop Princess wore a “22” t-shirt with “I Bet You Think About Me” on it during her Warsaw concert. Although this isn’t her first rodeo with this particular shirt, fans believe it’s a very subtle shade thrown towards Kanye. After all, this song, from her re-recorded album Red (Taylor’s Version), has been widely interpreted as a diss track targeted at the rapper.

Meanwhile, three of Taylor Swift’s concerts in Vienna, Austria, were cancelled due to a potential security threat. The suspects have been arrested, and the alleged terror threat is under investigation. Taylor’s shows at Wembley Stadium will go on as scheduled on August 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20.
