Travis Scott arrested in Florida for drunken driving and illegal entry

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami, Florida on Thursday, June 20. The Goosebumps hitmaker was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail at 4:35 a.m. According to CNN, according to jail records, the 33-year-old artist is now charged with being disorderly intoxicated and trespassing on property after warning.

Scott, whose legal name is Jacques Berman Webster II, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. at the Miami Beach Marina. Authorities revealed that he was on a charter boat and was involved in an altercation/dispute with the crew. The outlet further reported that he was asked to leave when authorities were called to the marina.

The Sicko Mode crooner initially left but returned shortly after. Scott then got into an argument with the crew and refused to leave even after officers asked him to do so a second time, leading to his arrest. Jail records show a $650 bond was set for him.

According to NBC Miami, authorities said, “During the long walk from the ship to the boardwalk, the defendant was saying obscene things to people on the ship while walking backwards.”

Police also reported that Scott began yelling at them, “He became erratic, disturbing the peace of residents of the marina and nearby residential buildings, causing a public disturbance.”

Authorities said that after his arrest, Scott “admitted he was drunk and said ‘this is Miami.'” However, the Butterfly Effect rapper seemed unfazed by the incident and tweeted “lol” to X (formerly Twitter) in response to the arrest.
