Tripti Dimri, who is gearing up for her next releaseBad News alongside Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk, opened up about trying out the genre of comedy in an interview with IANS. Tripti, who has grabbed eyeballs with her power-packed performances in films like Bulbul and Kaala, believes that comedy is a difficult genre. However, the actor believes in pushing her boundaries and she wants to explore diverse roles. Talking about her stint with comedy, Tripti said, “I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I think as an actor, it’s really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a bit difficult from the beginning.” She added, “So, in a way, it was really good for me.”
Tripti has teamed up with director Anand Tiwari for this film. Bad NewsSharing his work experience, the Kaala actor said, “I want to thank Anand sir from the bottom of my heart for trusting me in the film because you haven’t seen me do comedy at that level. It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, because they are so talented and their comic timing is very good.”
“It was tough but it was a good learning experience. I think in life I would like to do different roles like action, drama, comedy and whatever role I get,” Tripti said.

Tripathi became an overnight sensation with her role in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.
