According to Dik Panchang, on the day of Tulsi Vivah, devotees decorate the Tulsi plant as the bride and Shaligram ji as the groom, symbolizing the divine union of Goddess Vrinda and Lord Vishnu. Here’s how to perform the puja:

Get up before sunrise, take bath and wear clean clothes.

Keep the basil plant in a clean, decorated place.

Make a rangoli and set up a mandap (wedding canopy) using flowers, mango leaves and banana stem.

Establish Lord Shaligram near the Tulsi plant.

Bathe both of them with Panchamrit and Ganga water.

Dress Tulsi Mata in red saree or chunari and Shaligram ji in traditional dress.

Offer flowers, sweets, fruits and incense.

Chant the marriage mantras and perform the symbolic marriage ceremony.

Take seven rounds around the Tulsi plant and Shaligram ji.

Conclude with Aarti and distribute Prasad among the devotees.

It is believed that performing this ritual brings happiness, removes negativity and brings divine blessings to the house.
