Tusshar Kapoor’s latest video drew sharp criticism from many on social media after the actor compared Mumbai local trains to Euro Rail.
Tusshar Kapoor recently shared a throwback video from his summer in Europe on Instagram, following which fans have given some sharp reactions in the comments. In the video, the Golmaal actor is seen enjoying a train ride on the famous Eurorail, which connects 33 European countries and allows travel via almost all railroads and several shipping lines. The caption read, “Never mind! Even the luxurious #EuroRail is nothing compared to the satisfaction of travelling in Mumbai’s local trains! Eastern or Western India at its best!” It was not the video but the caption that trolls had a lot of fun with.

The comments criticised the romanticisation of poverty by the elite. One such comment, responding to the actor’s caption, read, “Nobody said no. Please, we are not insects to travel the way we do in Mumbai trains. They are subhuman and it’s okay for you to say so.” While another user mocked, “When was the last time you took a selfie in a local train in Bombay!”
Another commenter explained why he prefers crowded local trains than fancy European railways, “Because you don’t have to travel in them, that’s why.” “Next time make a reel of yourself travelling in a local. Walk your talk. It’s easy to babble.” – the comments section is flooded with such comments from angry fans. On the other hand, his sister Ekta Kapoor commented with a red heart emoji to show support.
Earlier this year, Tusshar Kapoor was spotted using the Mumbai local train to avoid the terrible traffic in the city while returning from shooting. He shared his journey in the first class compartment on Instagram with the caption, “#aboutlastnight agar Virar Churchgate wali railway ki first class seat liye hai toh ek selfie video toh banta hai! When there is a will, there is a way to avoid the terrible traffic while returning from shooting on the outskirts of Mumbai. #NaigaonVasai #Hellishjam.”
Tushar will star in Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. It is scheduled to release in 2025. He will also be seen in Kapkapi, directed by Sangeeth Sivan, which will release later this year.
