The Supreme Court refused to entertain an immediate petition seeking to be on the release of the upcoming film ‘Udaipur Files’ on Wednesday, July 9, which effectively paved the way for the dramatic release of the film on 11 July. The film, which squeezed the Vijay Raaz as Kanhaiya Lal, had taken place since the inauguration.
Directed by India and built by Amit Jani and manufactured, ‘Udaipur Files’ tried to rebuild the killing of 2022, which shocked the nation and began a debate on radical and communal tensions. The film also stars Rajnesh Duggal, Preeti Zhangiani, Kamlesh Sawant, Kanchi Singh and Mushtaq Khan.
The ban demands on release ‘Udaipur files’
The petition was filed by Mohammad Javed, the eighth accused was currently facing trial in Kanhaiya Lal murder case. Through his lawyer, Advocate Payoli, Javed urged the court that until the test was over, it was claimed that the film could damage its right to a fair and fair hearing.
According to Live Law, the petition alleged that the trailer and publicity of ‘Udaipur files’ appeared to be “communally stimulating” and presented a slant version of incidents that could prejudicate public perception and judicial process.
However, Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and two-judge bench of Joymlya Bagchi rejected the immediate list of the case. Justice Dhulia commented, “It should be released,” when the lawyer argued that the film could hit theaters before hearing the petition formally. The bench suggested that the matter should be taken before the concerned bench after the Supreme Court reopen on 14 July.
Continuation continues before the dispute continues
The development comes immediately after Jamit Ulama-e-Hind, an influential Islamic clerical body, also filed a petition in three high courts, demanding a ban on the film. Despite these legal challenges, ‘Udaipur files’ are moving forward with their release.
To get out of the moment with legal hurdles, all are now eyeing how the audience will respond to ‘Udaipur files’ if the audience is hit on screen this Friday.
