Mumbai: Actress and social media personality Uforfi Javed has finally reacted strongly to the news circulating online about her religion and identity, saying that she does not follow any religion.
This clarification from Urfi comes after social media influencer Faizan Ansari claimed that Muslims have decided to remove Urfi Javed from Islam and changed her name to Geeta Bhardwaj.
Responding to these claims in an exclusive conversation with IANS, Uorfi dismissed the reports as baseless and made his stand very clear. He said, “I myself have left religion long ago. Who is making up these things now?”

Reacting to the news of her changing her name to Geeta Bhardwaj, Uorfi told IANS, “Who said this? There is no such report. They are making it up on their own. I don’t follow any religion. I am an atheist. So where do you take me out? How do you take someone out of a place where they don’t even exist!”

Earlier today, social media influencer Faizan Ansari said that she has been “expelled” from Islam and will now be addressed as Geeta Bhardwaj. The influencer made the strong claim through a video shared on his social media, where he alleged that the decision to isolate Javed from the community was taken by ‘Muslims’ after his continuous insult to your community.
In the video, Ansari said, “Hello friends, how are you all? I am Faizan Ansari. There is a girl who is ruining the name of Muslims not only in India but all over the world. She herself says that she does not believe in Quran, she does not believe in Islam, and she does not believe in Muslim religion. Her name was Muslim till now, Uorfi Javed. She is a very bad girl who has ruined the name of Muslims all over the world and every Muslim abuses her. Is.”
He further said, “So finally, we Muslims have decided that Urfi Javed is no longer a Muslim. For this I have given a written letter to Maulana, the head of the All India Muslim Community. I have not taken permission, I have informed him that Urfi Javed is no longer a Muslim. Urfi Javed has nothing to do with the Muslim community and her new name is Geeta Bhardwaj.”
Announcing his decision on behalf of Muslims, Faizan said, “I am announcing this publicly so that everyone knows that Urfi Javed is no longer a Muslim. His name is Geeta Bhardwaj. We all Muslims have taken this decision. I have given a written letter to Maulana and I am attaching it with this video. I will tweet it so that this message reaches across the world. Please pass this on so that people know that if someone abuses in the name of Muslims. What happens? From today, Urfi Javed’s name is Geeta Bhardwaj. Please do not call her.” Uorfi Javed.
