Not for the first time under the fire to copy
Social media was a hurry to remind users to remind others that this is not the first time Rautela has faced allegations of literary theft. Back in 2020, she came into fire after tweeting after reviewing the Oscar winning film parasite. The tweet was later found almost a Word-for-Vard, similar to a post written by New York-based writer JP Bermer.
At that time, Urvashi wrote, “One thing that I really love about the parasite is that instead of portraying famine, scammers pretend to be good on their jobs, they actually do their jobs. The lack of them is not skill, but the institutional tickets and bows and ribbons of approval who love the rich people.”
The tweet led the significant backlash, although Urvashi did not publicly address the issue.
