According to RadarOnline, a man at the Hamptons hotel where Justin Timberlake had dinner last week called the police before the singer’s shocking DWI arrest.
The incident occurred about a week before Timberlake, 43, was arrested on DWI charges last Tuesday morning. An informant at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor reportedly contacted authorities to warn them about Timberlake’s behavior.
Timberlake just had ‘one martini’
The identity of the person who called the police is still unknown, but they reportedly told police that the ‘SexyBack’ singer had “too much to drink” and was probably trying to drive himself home.
“They said Justin had been drinking too much, and they asked the cop to keep an eye on him if he was going to drive,” a Southampton restaurant owner told the New York Post on Sunday.
It was revealed that Timberlake was stopped and released a few minutes later, before being stopped again and arrested last Tuesday morning.
A local law enforcement official confirmed that Timberlake was initially stopped by “young” officer Michael Arkinson and was let off with a warning shortly after leaving the American Hotel.

“He was stopped and advised not to drive,” the insider told The Post on Saturday.
“The officer didn’t recognize him; he’s a young guy. And yet he let Justin go because he wasn’t an immediate threat.”
Timberlake was stopped twice in the Hamptons
However, just minutes later, Timberlake was stopped for a second and final time. Officer Arkinson noticed the ‘Cry Me a River’ singer ran a stop sign and drove his 2025 BMW into the wrong lane. “What an idiot,” the insider commented. “I think he can afford a driver. What kind of authority is that?”
It was also reported that 23-year-old Officer Arkinson did not recognize Timberlake and did not know who the famous singer was. Hampton residents who had previous encounters with Officer Arkinson called him the “Sag Harbor Nazi” and the “little red-haired thug”. One resident described being stopped by the officer, saying, “I was surprised he stopped me. It was the off-season, and no one was around.” Another resident said, “It was a stupid move. I thought he just stopped me for the sake of it.”

Timberlake was ultimately charged with one count of driving under the influence, as well as two other traffic violations, including failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to stay in the proper lane of travel.
“We look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these charges,” Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., said last Wednesday.
“He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time.”
