Actress Varshini Suresh has had a successful transition – from the field of information technology to television, which is as different as chalk and cheese. The former database developer at Cognizant is now an accomplished small screen actress, as proven by her role in Auto Vijayashanti on zee telugu and as tulsi Magale N Marumagale On Star Vijay.

Rooted in the rhythm of everyday life, Auto Vijayashanti remake of tamil serial Veera, Revolves around family responsibilities and brother-sister bond. The drama focuses on a challenging phase when two sisters, Vijayashanti and Durga (played by Varshini and Sandra), move on with life after the death of their brother. Varshini overcame all difficulties by driving her brother’s auto to support the family. “It’s a challenging but exciting role,” she says.

Varshini, a native of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, had not planned a career in showbiz until Instagram Reels created an opportunity. Talking about his debut serial Ni Nain Kadhal On Star Vijay, she says: “They contacted me saying that the reels were beautiful and my expressions were good.”
Obviously, she was initially shocked by the acting offer but said yes to fulfill her teenage dream of becoming like her favorite actors Samantha and Nayanthara. “I believed that the universe had given me opportunities and I pursued them with passion,” says Varshini.

His first audition for Ni Nain Kadhal She was full of disappointment but director Rajan Sundaram boosted her confidence and guided her. “Casting directors had given up on me but Rajan sir became my acting teacher and patiently guided me. I have come this far in the television industry only because of him.”
She finds the qualities of her character Vijayashanti quite different from those in real life. “The character is emotionally strong, courageous, responsible and has more patience than anyone else in the family. Although I am financially independent and the breadwinner for my family, I am emotionally weak and I hardly have patience,” she laughs.
For a person who only knows how to drive a scooter, playing the role of an autodriver is full of challenges. While shooting at a busy junction in Tirupati, she almost lost control and was about to be hit by a car. “I was lucky to survive an accident. Executive Producer Varun.” Garu Helped me in handling the steering. It was a little scary but the journey was also an adventure.”
Busy traveling between Hyderabad and Chennai for television shoots, Varshni no longer has time to upload Instagram reels or pursue her interest in poetry. “During COVID, I found writing a powerful medium to express my feelings, but now shooting keeps me busy.”

She says that Hyderabad is a home away from home, which makes her feel comfortable. “Initially I made a new journey from Coimbatore to Chennai and from there to Hyderabad. Initially I was nervous because I didn’t know the language but now I have felt the warmth of the city. The people are lovely and the co-stars are like family.”
