She finds the qualities of her character Vijayashanti quite different from those in real life. “The character is emotionally strong, courageous, responsible and has more patience than anyone else in the family. Although I am financially independent and the breadwinner for my family, I am emotionally weak and I hardly have patience,” she laughs.

For a person who only knows how to drive a scooter, playing the role of an autodriver is full of challenges. She says that Hyderabad is a home away from home, which makes her feel comfortable. “Initially I made a new journey from Coimbatore to Chennai and from there to Hyderabad. Initially I was nervous because I didn’t know the language but now I have felt the warmth of the city. The people are lovely and the co-stars are like family.”
