entrance
What to do:
1. The main entrance is considered a passage of energy which should be kept clean, bright and welcoming.
2. Paste a plate with the name written on it outside the entrance to attract more opportunities for growth and prosperity. The door will open to the right without any obstruction.
What not to do:
1. Shoe racks or dustbins should not be placed near the door as they prevent proper ventilation.
2. The entrance should not be gloomy or unattractive as it may invite negative energies into the house.
3. Mirrors should never be placed directly opposite the front door as they push the energy out of the house.
meeting room
What to do:
1. The living room should be located in the north-east or north of the building as these are related to prosperity and health.
2. Arrange your furniture in a way that is open and conversant, to allow people to move between them easily. Place heavy furniture facing the southwest direction to keep it in a stable position. For this reason, use bright colours such as white, cream or pastels.
What not to do:
1. Do not place television or other electronic gadgets in the north-east corner as they may hinder the positive energy flow.
2. If you want the energy to flow smoothly in your home, keep things simple; so do not keep too many decorative items in your living room. Also, it is better to avoid using dark or bold colors on the walls of the living room as this will create a different atmosphere in the house.
kitchen
What to do:
1. The best location for a kitchen is the south-eastern part of your home, as this area is dominated by fire.
2. As per the Vastu Shastra beliefs, your cooking stove should face east and be placed in the south-east corner to utilise the positive energy coming from the sun.
3. Maintain cleanliness and order in your kitchen, otherwise negative energies will start spreading all around due to disorder.
What not to do:
1. The kitchen should never be built in the north-east or north direction as it disrupts the energy of the house a lot.
2. Never align the refrigerator or sink with the stove as water and fire will always be in conflict.
3. Do not paint or cover the kitchen in black or dark colours; paint the kitchen in warm and bright colours to establish a connection with the fire element.
Bathroom
What to do:
1. It is recommended that the bathroom should be placed in the north-west direction or western part of the house.
2. Ensure adequate availability of fresh air and cleanliness to prevent negative energy from entering the house.
3. Make sure you keep the bathroom door closed at all times so that bacteria and other negative energies do not reach other rooms.
What not to do,
1. It is advisable that the bathroom should not be in the north-east or south-west as it affects the energy of the house.
2. Do not leave the toilet seat open as it is believed to bring negative energy.
3. Avoid using dark colours in the bathroom; instead use light colours which can be refreshing and hygienic.
