Veda: Sharvari unveils new movie poster; wishes John Abraham on Guru Purnima

New Delhi: On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, actress Sharvari Wagh wrote an emotional note for her mentor, ‘Abhimanyu Sir’ aka John Abraham, from her much-awaited action thriller film ‘Veda’. She also shared a new poster of the film, which is garnering a lot of buzz ahead of its release on August 15.

The poster shows Sharvari looking at her injured hand, while John Abraham gives her a glass of water, both of whom appear injured.

Sharvari wrote in an emotional note, ‘Abhimanyu Sir, you are the only person in my world who never made any difference. You are my Guru who supported me, taught me how to fight, taught me the ways of the world, right and wrong and made me a fighter. You showed me the way to fight against injustice, not to tolerate injustice. You are my inspiration, and for someone like me like Veda! Today on the day of Guru Purnima, this fighter Veda promises to you, that this war that I have started against injustice, I will fight till the end and will win too.’ she added.

She concluded with this note, Your disciple, Veda.

About the Vedas

Veda stars Sharvari Wagh as a young woman who fights the oppressive system, and confronts Abhishek Banerjee’s elusive antagonist. With John Abraham as her unexpected ally, she turns their partnership into a powerful tool for justice. The film promises a staggering story filled with heart-pounding stunts and high-octane action. The film also stars Abhishek Banerjee and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles.

Earlier, director Nikhil said, “Veda is not just a film. It is inspired by true events and is a reflection of our society and pushes the boundaries of reality. Working with John, Sharvari and Abhishek Banerjee has been an incredible experience and I am happy to finally announce the release date and hope the audience will be as emotional as we all were when we first heard the story of Veda.”

Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film Veda will be released in theatres on August 15.
