Mohali: The last rites of veteran Punjabi actor Jaswinder Bhalla were held in Mohali on Saturday.
Many politicians and major figures of the Punjabi film industry came together at the cremation ground to pay their heartfelt final honors for Jaswinder Bhalla.
Gippy Grewal, Jimmy Shergill, and Jasbir Jassi, among many others, were in appearance as they were a emotional farewell bid for Jaswinder Bhalla, known as Bhalla Saab.

Remembering Jaswinder Bhalla, popular singer Jasbir Jassi told Annie, “This is a huge loss for the Punjabi industry.”
Punjabi singer Manquart Aulakh also expressed his condolences.
Talking with the media outside the cremation ground, Manquart said, “Everyone should stand with the bereaved family in this difficult time. It was the pride of our industry. His presence made films a superhit alone.”
Earlier in the day, actress Neeru Bajwa and several other colleagues visited Jaswinder Bhalla’s residence to express condolences to the family.
Neeru Bajwa also expressed his grief over the death of Jaswinder Bhalla through a post on Instagram.
Neeru said, “This sad news was saddened to wake up. Bhalla Saab was really honored and praised, and his contribution would be remembered with great respect. Relaxation, sir, my condolences to family,” posted by Neeru.
Jaswinder Bhalla died on Friday morning at Fortis Hospital in Mohali after battling the disease for the last few months. Known for his innocent comic timing and sarcastic dialogues, Bhalla was a Dalit of Punjabi cinema, who re -defined the comedy on screen.
The actor was loved by the audience for his memorable performance in films like Gaddi Chadi Hai Sixlla Merc, Carrie on Jatt, Jind Jaan, and Band Baje.
The 65 -year -old Jaswinder Bhalla survived his wife Parmeep Bhalla and his two children – son Pukhraj Bhalla and daughter Ashparat Kaur.
